Riccardo Lucque / Chef and owner

Riccardo Lucque started his career in gastronomy at age 16, working in various hotels around Rimini and Pesaro in the Marche region of Italy. In 1990, he began working at Da Alceo restaurant in Pesaro, which specialized in seafood and which boasts one star from the famous gastronomic Michelin Guide. Three years later, at 24, he left for the UK and worked at Zafferano, named the best Italian restaurant in London in 2001 and also the winner of a Michelin star. After a three-month sojourn as head chef of Buco in Manhattan, he returned to the UK, serving as executive chef of a chain of five Italian restaurants in the Thames region. He came to Prague in 2002 as head chef of the restaurant “Square” in Malostranské square.

In April 2005, he opened his first restaurant, Aromi, in Vinohrady. After four years, in 2009, he opened a second restaurant, La Finestra in Cucina in nearby Staroměstské square in the centre of Prague.

Radek Hasman / Chef

Radek Hasman graduated from the secondary School of Hotel Services in Ondříčkova Street in Prague. After graduating he began working at the Hotel Ambassador, where he spent two years gaining valuable experience before moving on to some of the best hotels and restaurants in Prague. He has worked at restaurants Flambée, Bellevue, and the Hotel Palace restaurants.

In 2002, he was employed as Chef de Partie at Kampa group’s restaurant Square, where he met Riccardo Lucque. Soon thereafter, he was promoted to the position of Sous-Chef. When Riccardo Lucque opened his restaurant Aromi in 2005, Radek became the restaurant chef.

Every year he combines work and pleasure by regularly visiting restaurant Da Alceo in the town Pesaro, Marche, Italy, which holds one Michelin star and specializes in fresh seafood and fish. Thanks to this family restaurant’s similar philosophy, he feels at home here in his kitchen at Aromi.

Radim Gerlich / Sous Chef

Radim Gerlich studied a hotel and management school - ISŠ – COP high school in Frenštát. He finished school in 1999 and started working as a chef.

He met the head chef, Riccardo Lucque, in 2003 in Square restaurant in Prague and they started working together. In 2005, Riccardo Lucque opened Aromi and Radim Gerlich joined his new team. Since then, he has been working in Aromi as sous chef. During the past 5 years he has been on short term attachments in London where he worked in Locanda Locatelli, holder of one Michelin star and in Camerino restaurant. He also stayed in Italy in Hotel Giardino, Marche region. Since 2008, he has also worked for Ola Kala culinary atelier as a teacher specializing in Italian cuisine.
